Using homemade passion fruit simple syrup and fresh lime juice, this passion fruit moscow mule is a sweet and fruity twist to the classic mule.
Passion Fruit Simple Syrup
2 passion fruit
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 ounces vodka
2 ounces passion fruit simple syrup
1-ounce lime juice
For Passion Fruit Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine the water and sugar stirring on low heat until the sugar dissolves. Once the sugar has dissolved, remove it from heat.
Cut the passion fruit in half and scoop the pulp and seeds into the saucepan. Allow the passion fruit to steep in the syrup for 4 hours or overnight (Place in the fridge of steeping overnight.)
Strain liquid and store in the fridge until ready to use.
For Moscow Mule
In a cocktail shaker combine the vodka, simple syrup, and lime juice, shake until combined.
Pour into an ice-filled copper mug, top with ginger beer, and enjoy.
