Whipped Strawberry Rośe Frosting

I love whipped cream frosting and how light it is, so I decided to experiment with flavored whipped cream and thought Strawberry Rośe would be delicious. I recently saw someone use freeze dried fruit in frosting, and thought that would be 100 times easier than using fresh fruit. I tried it out and it was super easy and the frosting turns out just as good! This can be used as frosting or whipped cream, it’s so light and creamy with a hint of rośe. Perfect with any dessert!

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet unflavored gelatin

  • 6 tablespoons water

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream

  • 2 cups freeze dried strawberries

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 4 tablespoons rośe

Directions:

  1. Combine the gelatin and water in a bowl, mix and place in microwave for 20-30 seconds until completely dissolved.

  2. Using a food processor or blender, grind the freeze dried strawberries until fine.

  3. Combine the cream, sugar, ground strawberries, vanilla, and rośe in a bowl and mix until soft peaks form.

  4. Add the cooled gelatin to the mixture, and mix until stiff peaks form.

  5. Place in fridge for at least 30 minutes before use.
